About Us

The firm had its beginnings in 1885 when surveyor and architect, John William Harrison, set up practice in Auckland. By 1912, when Charles Kirkpatrick Grierson joined him in partnership, the practice was Auckland's largest with substantial clients, particularly in the public area, many of whom remain clients today.

Harrison Grierson became one of the largest surveying practices in New Zealand, before developing additional professions of engineering and planning, to become one of the largest multi-disciplinary consultancies in the country. The Company is owned and managed by its directors and senior staff, all of whom have a commitment to maintaining high professional standards, ethics and integrity.

The Company has offices throughout New Zealand, allowing us to provide services to our clients in the location which best suit their needs; we also have an office in Brisbane Australia.

We have undertaken projects throughout New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific for a wide range of government agencies, donor aid organisations, corporate, industrial, private and institutional clients.

At Harrison Grierson we pride ourselves on our personalised service and on our commitment to deliver commercially sustainable and cost effective solutions which are tailored to meet our clients' ongoing business needs.
