Harrison Grierson’s new visual identity a finalist in design awards

Marketing Manager, Karen West, said the new visual identity, which was launched in March this year, had been entered in the awards by its designers, Principals Branding Limited, in the large brand identity category.

“We’re thrilled that our stunning new image has been recognised by the Designers Institute,” she said.

“The reality is that it’s so much more than just a new company image.  Our new visual identity, with its new logo, colours, typography, imagery and graphics, makes a very public statement that we’ve transformed our company.  And that we’ve begun the next stage of our evolution.”  

Ms West said over the last two years, nearly every aspect of Harrison Grierson had been re-engineered.  

“We started this journey back in 2012 after a major review revealed quite a gap between how our audiences saw us, how we saw ourselves and how we want to be seen.  

“So, to change the way we’re perceived, we had to change the way we do things. Our branding strategy was the vehicle for change.  It’s meant far more than just a new look.  It’s changed how we communicate and the way we do business.”  

Ms West said every item with a logo had been replaced with the new image.  That included stationery, signage on our buildings and vehicles, HG clothing, documentation and a new website.  

She said the colours of the new visual identity reflected Harrison Grierson.   

“The green represents our fresh approach. The greys represent our strength and determination. The bold, simple type represents our belief as client champions, that where there’s a will there’s a way.”

Winners of the awards will be announced at the Best Awards 2014 dinner on October 10 2014.
