Project Period

April 2010 – February 2013

The Kerepehi area relies on a consistent water supply to sustain its substantial dairy industry. But with the worst drought in 70 years, that supply was under threat.

The project to upgrade the existing (and ailing) Kerepehi Water Treatment Plant increased capacity by 30% and provided farmers with a facility they could rely on for their water needs.

Our work

We took the project from initial concept design and process selection, right through to technology procurement, design, tendering, construction observation and commissioning.

The result

The plant was completed on time, and for about $3 million less than the initial budget estimate. Most importantly, the plant now operates during all conditions and produces water that always meets the Drinking Water Standards of New Zealand (DWSNZ).
