Meet our Board Members

Gary Clark - Chairman     Gary Clark, Chairman. 
Gary was appointed to the Board in 2001 and to the role of Chairman in 2009.  He has over 30 years experience in land surveying, specialising in cadastral surveying, subdivision of land and buildings and project management.  Gary was appointed to the Cadastral Surveyors Licensing Board of NZ at its inception in 2002 and his current tenure ended in 2010.  He is also a member of the Board of the Land Professionals Mutual Society.
 
    Glen Cornelius, Managing Director.
Glen was appointed to the Harrison Grierson Board in 2008 and to the role of Managing Director in January 2012. He has extensive experience in development and infrastructure engineering as well as leading many large multi-disciplinary projects. Glen has played an important role in the growth of Harrison Grierson's business in the Land and Buildings and Utilities sectors and is a close advisor to many companies and government organisations. Glen is also Chairman and Managing Director of our Australian operation.
 
Colin Cranfield - Director   Colin Cranfield, Director.
Colin was appointed to the Board in 1989 and has spent 30 years in the strategic planning and design of infrastructure projects across the utilities and tourism sectors in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific.  The last 20 years have been spent specialising in municipal and industrial water and wastewater engineering. Colin is the Sector Leader for Water and the Environment.  Colin is also a current member of the Association of Consulting Engineers NZ, Water Sector Committee.
 
  Andrew Collins, Director. 
Andrew was appointed to the Board in 2005. Andrew has over 20 years of planning and resource management experience and he provides strategic, policy and development advice to a wide range of governmental organisations and developer and network utility clients.  Andrew is the Sector Leader for Health and Education and Transport - Maritime. Andrew chairs the Company's Sustainability Advisory Group that he helped establish in 2008.
 
  John Tik, Director.
John was appointed to the Board in 2003 and has over 30 years experience in land development and civil infrastructure engineering.  He has extensive expertise in the planning, design and implementation of major land development projects across New Zealand.  John has played an important role in the technical development of the Land and Buildings Sector and actively manages relationships with many governmental organisations and corporate clients.  John is the Sector Leader for Land and Buildings – Residential.
 
  Mike Benning, Director.
Mike joined Harrison Grierson in 2000 and was appointed to the Board in 2005.  He has 25 years experience in the planning, design and implementation of major property and transport projects. Mike works closely with many Australasian corporates with large property portfolios on both sides of the Tasman.  Mike is the Sector Leader for Land and Buildings – Commercial/Industrial and Transport – Rail and Airports.  Mike also chairs the Company’s Health and Safety Committee.
 
  Stephen Finnemore, Director
Steve joined Harrison Grierson in 2003 as a senior process engineer and was appointed to the Board in January 2012. Steve has over 20 years design and project management experience in the water industry in NZ and the UK. Since 2005, Steve has been the Manager of the Company's Water and Wastewater Division, growing the division's market leadership position in New Zealand and Australia. Steve is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a full member of IPENZ, Water NZ, the Institution of Water and Environmental Management and the Royal Society of Chemistry. 
 
  Poul Israelson, Director
Poul is a qualified planner with 18 years experience in the public and private sectors. Poul joined Harrison Grierson in 2000 and was appointed to the Board in January 2012. He is an experienced project manager who leads teams of planners and other consulting professionals on large projects. Poul is located in Brisbane, Australia, and has been tasked to develop the breadth of the Company's client base. 
 
    Margaret Devlin, Independent Director.
Margaret was appointed to the Board in August 2011 as an independent director. She has over 20 years experience working at senior executive and director level in both the infrastructure and retail sectors in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Margaret currently holds directorships at City Care, Midland Health Network and Moto International Holdings and is Deputy Chair of WEL Networks and Chair of EPIC Ltd, Scott Sheet Metal Manufacturing and CF Reese Limited.
 
  Steve Crow, Senior Principal,
Director - Harrison Grierson Consultants Pty Ltd
Steve is a qualified Town Planner with over 20 years experience in strategic and statutory planning throughout both Australia and New Zealand.  Steve manages the Company’s operations in Queensland and is the principal co-ordinator of State and Local Government Planning Services.  As Senior Principal and a Director of the Australian Company, Steve brings strong leadership and proven project management skills to a wide variety of multi-disciplinary projects along the eastern seaboard of Australia.
 
    Fiona Guy - General Manager and Company Secretary.
Fiona joined the Company in 1995 and has more than 25 years experience working with various Boards and Committees in the consulting, finance and accounting sectors.  In her current role, Fiona works closely with the Managing Director to lead the operations of the Company and is responsible for the Corporate Services team including finance, knowledge and information services and human resources.
