Chinese development company, Tasmaster, has appointed Harrison Grierson to provide civil engineering and town planning services on its first Australian land development venture.

The rapidly expanding commuter suburb of Coomera, 15km north-west of Surfers Paradise and on the rail link between Brisbane and Gold Coast continues to expand and the suburb’s latest subdivision has been designed by Harrison Grierson.  The 3.7ha block provides options for medium to high density living for mainly first home buyers and is a quality development that will see young Queensland families get a solid footing on the property ladder.

The development has been sensitively designed with a focus on protection of the terrestrial ecology. Examples of this are the sensitively designed koala capture and relocation programme prior to construction activities commencing and the protection of the natural features of the local waterways. Increased stormwater runoff from the developed areas of the subdivision are attenuated through aesthetically designed ponding areas using low impact design techniques.

Overall, a highly desirable subdivision for first time buyers of affordable housing has been created in the high growth area of South East Queensland.
