Harrison Grierson Staff Assist with the Restoration of Motutapu Island, NZ
back to Making a Difference
AUGUST 2010

Motutapu Island, in the Hauraki Gulf, is the site of a major revegetation and pest eradication programme led by the Motutapu Restoration Trust which seeks to return the island's natural landscape to its former glory and provide a haven for indigenous species.

Committed Harrison Grierson staff have donated their professional skills and time to support the planning and development of the nursery expansion. Currently the physical works at the nursery site are being implemented and there is a considerable improvement to the amount of plant resources available to the large number of volunteers that get involved in the restoration work on the island.

Motutapu is one of the Region's important sustainable environments projects and a treasure for this and future generations. Well done Motutapu Restoration Trust!
