Mt Isa City leads the way with its Priority Infrastructure Plan
AUGUST 2010
Queensland's Minister for Infrastructure and Planning has recently signed off the Priority Infrastructure Plan prepared for Mt Isa City Council by Harrison Grierson's Strategic Planning Department. This is only the second Queensland Council to have reached this important milestone.
The principal purpose of the Priority Infrastructure Plan is to provide for the integration of land use and infrastructure planning thereby ensuring the efficient and orderly provision of city-wide infrastructure. Recently completed infrastructure capacity studies have identified the additional services required for the growth and development of the City and this has been translated into a fully integrated infrastructure charges regime.
This is a comprehensive piece of planning and engineering work that will serve the City well for the next 10 to 15 years.
