Rachel Ducker, a big picture thinker and highly experienced senior planner, has been appointed Planning Manager in our Christchurch office.
With over 20 years’ planning and leadership experience in the public and private sectors across Australasia, Rachel specialises in strategic planning, including preparing and managing land use and development studies and contributing to business cases.
Rachel’s strong local government track record includes senior positions at the Dunedin City Council, Kaikoura District Council, and the Stonnington City Council in Melbourne, and other council clients. She has extensive experience preparing and assessing resource consent applications in the government, water, infrastructure and transport sectors.
Rachel recently returned to Christchurch after 16 years in Melbourne where she managed a large strategic planning team for an inner city council. The team played a key role in planning for housing growth and change and new supporting infrastructure across metropolitan Melbourne.
Rachel has a Master of Science (Hons) Natural Resource Management, a Bachelor of Arts History and a Diploma in Front Line Management.
