Harrison Grierson proud to support Beachlands South groundbreaking

November 13 marked a momentous milestone in the Beachlands South journey, with the blessing and groundbreaking ceremony officially launching Stage One of this visionary development, which sees Harrison Grierson as the civil and infrastructure engineering partner.

A world-class, master planned community, we are thrilled to be part of a project that will shape the future of Beachlands and the wider Auckland region. We’ve worked closely with our partners Russell Property Group, NZ Super Fund and Ngāi Tai Hāpai, alongside a talented team of consultants, to bring this ambitious vision to life.

The day began with a beautiful dawn blessing by Ngāi Ti ki Tāmaki, followed by an afternoon celebration attended by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Mayor Wayne Brown, Deputy Mayor Desley Simpson, and Franklin Councillor Andy Baker—who braved the weather to mark this special occasion.

Stage One covers 37 hectares of the 307.2-hectare site and will include land preparation for a new primary and secondary school, a village centre, housing, and community facilities. Earthworks are expected to span the next two summers.

Over the next 10–15 years, Beachlands South will evolve into a vibrant, integrated community offering diverse housing, employment, education, and recreational opportunities. We’re proud to contribute our expertise to a development that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
