Next Generation Thinking
Be part of a team that’s thinking big about the future of urban development. With almost 140 years of experience in Aotearoa New Zealand, we have the knowledge, projects, and vision to build sustainable communities you can be proud to say you’ve worked on.
We’re diverse, just like the communities we design for
A diverse, equitable and inclusive place to work boosts creativity and innovation. We believe in building strength through diversity and aim to create an inclusive, collaborative culture where everyone feels they belong. Diverse teams are more likely to bring pioneering ideas to the table along with their unique perspectives and experiences. We make more informed decisions when considering a wide range of viewpoints and experiences.
As a founding partner and accord signatory of The Diversity Agenda, we’re committed to investing in diversity and inclusion not only at Harrison Grierson but across the engineering and architectural profession.
Sustainability – it’s core to our business
Sustainability is central to our purpose and strategic direction. It’s our goal through the people we develop and the projects we deliver, to have a positive impact on the environment.
We want to build resilient communities that strive for the long-term health and wellbeing of land, water, biodiversity and people and climate change and its potential impacts is a reality we take seriously. We investigate how environments may be impacted, and design so future generations can thrive and grow throughout these changes.
We believe people should be able live, work, play and feel in touch with nature, without relying on private vehicles. When designing new communities, we work collaboratively with different stakeholders and across disciplines to incorporate walking and cycling links and enable public transport.
Corporate responsibility
We’re committed to corporate responsibility and hold a Sustainability and Modern Slavery Policy.
We’re reducing our carbon emissions in line with international targets, managing waste and review our suppliers and partners to ensure our purchases are ethical.
To demonstrate our commitment to positive outcomes for people and the planet, as we go about our business, we’re pursuing BCORP certification.
