Craig Friedel

Variety is the spice of life for Craig Friedel, the principal planning consultant in our Christchurch office.  With 19 years planning experience under his belt, Craig loves that no two days are the same.  “My projects can range from consenting telecommunication facilities, town centres and comprehensive housing developments through to developing resource management policies and undertaking spatial planning initiatives,” says Craig.  “I’m very lucky to be exposed to such a broad range of interesting clients and challenging projects.” 

Craig’s expertise in analysing complex issues, developing innovative responses to key project challenges, and preparing and presenting comprehensive evidence make him in demand to mentor his colleagues, something he also enjoys.

After hours, Craig can be found travelling, enjoying the outdoors and time with his family. An avid tramper, Craig turns off technology and savours the solitude and scenery of the back country, particularly the Southern Alps.
