Sam Mayston

As structurally sound as you can get, Sam has an in-depth knowledge of the Auckland construction market, coupled with the project history to prove it.

He leads Harrison Grierson’s Auckland Structures business unit, working with other teams across the company’s many multi-discipline projects.

With more than 15 years’ experience across Aotearoa, New Zealand, the UK and Dubai, Sam has led a large number of complex projects, using his strong leadership, communication and project management skills to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.

Sam is a Chartered Structural Engineer and has been an Auckland Council Producer Statement Author since 2015.

He also loves working for HG, “The staff here are hardworking, fun and busy people with sports, families and a life outside the office,” he says. 

Away from work, Thursday is Sam’s day to be a Dad to his twin boys, and is often filled with biking, beaches, skiing, and other adventures.
