HG Glen's appointment as President of ENZ

March 2023

Congratulations to our outgoing Chief Executive, Glen Cornelius, on his appointment as President of Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau (ENZ).

Glen has served on ENZ’s board for the last year as Deputy President and for the 12 months prior as Vice President. He was confirmed into the role on Friday 24 March 2023.

ENZ is Aotearoa New Zealand's professional body for engineers and has around 22,000 members. It represents and regulates its members and acts as the Registration Authority for Chartered Professional Engineers.

“Glen’s appointment as President of ENZ recognises his leadership in the engineering world,” said HG Chair Jo Brosnahan.  “Everyone at HG is proud of Glen’s achievement and we all warmly congratulate him on this penultimate demonstration of industry respect.”

Glen’s belief that the fundamental role of engineers is to make the world a better place in which to live, is well-known. He is a leader in transformative urban development projects and partnerships which are helping to build sustainable and affordable communities across Aotearoa New Zealand. Glen is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), a board member of ACE NZ, Chair of Habitat for Humanity New Zealand, and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. He has been with Harrison Grierson for more than 27 years – with more than 11 years as Managing Director/Chief Executive. From 31 March, Glen has stepped back from the role of CE.  He remains at HG as Leader of Strategic Initiatives.
